The Office of Life, Justice, and Peace (OLJP) implements the vision of Archbishop José  H. Gomez on social issues by offering support and enriching Catholic identity through leadership enrichment and pastoral accompaniment to parishes and schools. Through education, advocacy, prayer, resources, and service, OLJP promotes the sacredness of human dignity, the common good, and the reality that each person is made in the image and likeness of God to live in a relationship with Him and in community with others.
The Archdiocese of Los Angeles, with our vast ethnic, cultural and economic diversity, is a small manifestation of the universal Church. Promoting a consistent ethic of life requires a culture of encounter and a transformative commitment to solidarity in all stages of life and to all people.
