Life Coaching for Families with Teens and Young Adults on the Spectrum
By Certified Life Coaches Joyce Show, MD and Peter Tran, AAC and book author, who has ASD and types to communicate.
What is life coaching and what can it do for me and my teen or young adult on the spectrum?
Through life coaching, we provide a safe space with nurturing and supportive guides to develop identity, vision, and self-awareness while working on social-emotional learning and building family teamwork. Our 10-session series results in a step-by-step achievable specific person-centered plan that includes continuing goals for emotional regulation, executive function skills, habit formation, and perspective-taking. We have certification not only in professional level life coaching, but in development, academic life coaching, and health and wellness. Because we see the family as a unit, we understand that to best help the child, the parent also needs and deserves support. Our unique peer-to-peer, parent-to-parent approach enables clients to open up because no one understands better than those walking down the same road. We are regional center-vendored!
